Sheela, what kind of trainings have you completed? My training in hypnosis, regression therapy and spiritual regression were completed with Past Life Regression Academy UK between 2011 to 2013. I have also attended a certification course with NeuroLeadership Institute US to learn about brain-based coaching techniques to cater for clients who prefer the left-brain approach. In addition, I am at level II in Reiki following the Usui tradition. My initial professional training was in law and I practiced for a couple of years before switching to the recruiting field, and eventually into complementary therapy work. In 2016, I completed a training course in Akashic Record Consultation with Ernesto Ortiz. I have also completed a training course in Shamanic Practice with The Foundation of Shamanic Studies.
Why did you take up regression therapy? Some years back, I was diagnosed with migraine, tinnitus and fibromyalgia within a span of 6 months while living in Germany. The three different health specialists I saw prescribed anti-depressants immediately after diagnosis. I was reluctant to go on medication as I wanted to know the rootcause of these medical conditions and not just deal with the symptoms. Eventually, I found relief in Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu and hypnosis. That experience opened me up to the world of complementary therapy, including regression therapy and spiritual regression. I became curious about the techniques involved and decided to learn them. Now, I use various mind-body-spirit-based alternative therapies to help others understand their mental, emotional and spiritual landscape for self-healing and enhancement.
But truly, what drives you to do the work you do? Don't you get affected by your clients' problems? I derive a great sense of freedom and joy when I am able to help clients traverse from the tangible to the non-tangible realms. I feel most useful and creative at work. I feel good because I know that I am assisting individuals to re(discover) information about themselves that may not have been obvious to them before. And in doing so, every single client I have had has helped me to understand my own self more and more. That's the driving force...
Is hypnosis or regression therapy safe? Yes. I have used all the techniques I offer on myself, my family members, friends and clients safely and effectively. If you are worried about something specific with regards to the process, please write in to me and I will be happy to explain further.
Will I lose control during the hypnosis session? No, I have not seen any client lose control, and neither have I lost control whenever I was in trance myself. In fact, sometimes clients are reluctant to come out of a session because they want to enjoy the deep relaxation a little bit longer. I do the same.
What will happen if I cannot be hypnotised? Honestly, we wouldn't know until you have tried it out. If one way doesn't work, I will try another. And, if that doesn't work either, I will switch to other methods to find out what approach can be of help to you. I don't give up easily if you won't.
My brain works all the time. I don't know if I can relax enough to experience anything... Relaxation will come easily once you have established a good rapport with your therapist.
What can I expect to experience during a regression therapy session? During regression therapy, depending on your objectives and what the higher powers have in store for you, the following can possibly happen, and not in any particular order or combination: energy clearing, a trip back to the first time often when one of your current life challenges was triggered, a past life experience, an encounter with your loved ones or a guide, access to the Akashic field to download some valuable information, a meeting with the ones who make your life miserable and an opportunity for resolution, a gathering with your spiritual mentors, a revelation about your life purpose and so on. The possibilities are endless but often where you go and what you get comes down to what your subconscious mind wants you to see and experience first. My job in your journey is to keep you focused on your objectives, maintain a suitable trance depth for your inner journey, ask tons of questions and map out the landscape of your inner mind, and offer you assistance whenever you want it.
Will I see immediate results after the sessions? That varies because I do not offer quick fixes and magic pills. I do not rush into sessions for the sake of filling my schedule. I believe deep healing cannot or should not be rushed, nor done as a side activity. From my experience, some of my clients do feel an immediate difference when they come out of a session, and some feel on-going transformation for a few days, weeks or even months. I have had a few clients who told me of positive changes still taking place a year after their sessions. Just be aware that you will be working with your mind, and your mind is never set or locked in one position. It's always evolving and the idea is—in the long run—to evolve in the best possible direction for you. How and when it will happen truly depends on how ready and open you are for self-transformation in the first place. Please read my clients’ testimonials here, they know the session impact best.
How many sessions would I need with you? I do not prescribe the number of sessions as I believe the client should be the one deciding that based on their needs. For regression therapy, I have had clients who did one session and benefitted greatly to clients who do a few in quick succession to those who do once a year. However, as a general guideline, dealing with one specific issue may take between 2-3 sessions. The first session is somewhat like an orientation session for beginners to inner journeying as they learn to decipher and build on his/her inner mind landscape. Follow-up session often go quicker and deeper as the client gets more comfortable navigating his/her subconscious mind.
Can I mix and match the sessions? Yes. All the methods I practice complement one another. In fact, I have had clients who have used a combination of coaching, hypnosis and regression therapy to reach their objectives. All the modalities I practice are merely tools but what makes these tools become remarkable are the secret ingredients you put into the session—an open mind, a curious heart and the desire to want to be the best version of yourself.
Do I have to believe in past lives to do regression therapy? Do I need to believe in angels and all those esoteric stuff? No and no. However, spiritual experiences are common occurrences during sessions:)
I'm a skeptic. What if I don't go anywhere during the regression? I used to be a skeptic myself. What helped was the willingness to try something new, and an open mind to receive and process information. It definitely gets easier with practice.
What can I do to prepare myself before a session? Ideally, I would like to work with you when you are feeling energised. As such, it is helpful to refrain from recreational drugs and alcohol at least 36 hours before the session start. Also, try to keep the after-session hours free for self-contemplation and some nourishing activity.
Can I bring my child for hypnosis or regression? I do work with children but this is dependent on the matter at hand, and only with both parents’ express permission. Kindly write in with your circumstances and we will take it from there.
Are there individuals you do not take on as clients? Yes. If a person is under heavy medication or has been diagnosed with mental illness, or has serious physical medical issues, I would have to decline. With depression, it is sometimes difficult to draw the line. If you are going through a down phase and feeling unsure, contact me for an obligation-free consultation and we will figure out a way to get you some form of assistance, be it from me or someone else I recommend.
